Mawu and Lisa are two halves of the same person, and this is their temple. It is the only one they would allow to be built. They are the creator, and as with many creators they are often at odds with themselves. The Mawu side is calm and gentle, but Lisa is often angry and they can lash out. One should make sure to use the right pronouns in their presence.
All paintings come ‘ready to hang’ with black painted edges and wire hangers unless otherwise noted. It is not recommended that encaustic paintings be placed behind glass, as the texture should be felt as well as seen. This art is safe to gently touch!

Each painting is a bespoke original, no prints are available. All paintings are sold unframed, painted on wooden encaustic board (2 cm depth) with black painted edges.
Please note that all packing and shipping material is repurposed to reduce waste, and while we avoid using styrofoam and plastic, we try very hard not to source new material of this type and only re-use non recyclable materials. Thank you for your understanding.
